From Crater Lake we overnighted in Alturas, CA. It was a small park just off the highway, however getting directions from the park manager, who did not know street names, was an interesting exercise. Complicating the matter was a festival in the city park which adjoined the RV park. After many detours and tight squeezes we managed to get settled into a nice site.
We visited the festival which had all the hallmarks of a small town celebration. The fire department was present having contests pushing a beer keg on a tight wire with the pressure from the water hoses. Also part of the fair was a classic car show. So I thought I would share some of the car pictures.
The next stop was in Carson City, NV for two days to replenish supplies before heading for Mammoth Lakes, CA.
