About Us

We are Leslie and Gary, retirees living in the Tucson, AZ, area with our two furry housemates, Rosie and Willie. In late 2012 we began touring the US in our 33 foot, 2012 Tiffin Allegro coach. Rosie and Willie much prefer these trips to visiting kennels!

Our goals are to visit National Parks along the way, experience new sights and adventures, and see what's around the Next Horizon.

Leslie: After 30 years with the US government, Public Health Service, I raced into retirement to pursue "all those things I never got around to while raising a son, working full time, etc".  Little did I fully realize that retirement days are also only 24-hours long!  Go figure!  So, after filling this new life-phase with many volunteer opportunities (involving gardening and desert natural history education), I discovered the need to "get away" and also fulfill dreams of traveling and learning more "on the road". And so the life adventure continues.

Gary:   I gave up a promising career in music many years ago.  Although I was a semi-accomplished accordion player and a budding drum player in the marching band, I gave it all up for science.  This was forced upon me because my junior high school only had one hour of elective courses in the eighth grade (and the overriding possibility that I had no musical talent).  So I had to make the life-changing decision to take a science class instead of music.  Thus was the entry into a lifetime of singular focus on trying to uncover even a single nugget of Mother Nature's oh so convoluted, mysterious, and, some say, even evil secrets.  Now is the time to broaden my focus and take in the wondrous world of travel.

Willie is our Pembroke Welsh Corgi guy who has reached the "elder" time of his life and enjoys being with us; he is a real "people dog".

Rosie is just a bit younger than Willie.  She mostly prefers other dogs and animals or her "alone time"; seeming a bit aloof like a "cat".
